The best sites I've found on making your own burlesque fans
Now I have to admit I personally think you are a fool for making your own fans.
I’ve never found it particularly cost effective - the cost of feathers (or vegan alternatives) alone can equate to a similar amount to the purchase price. Once you factor in your time, and the risk factor of things working out, to me it makes sense just to buy a pair.
But I’m super crafty!
I have a stack of feathers ready to use!
Yeah, these would be the reasons that I would make a pair. If you are the craft queen or you happen to have a heap of stray feathers or materials lying around, it might be worth while.
Or maybe you want to practice so you can become a seller and make bespoke items (anyone in Tassie. go for it!)
Here are some of the better resources I’ve found. So now you have them in one handy spot.
I reckon anyone with good tips and tricks should leave them in the comments below so we all benefit!

Budget half circle fans can also be super helpful - especially if it’s more for a short prop or group routine, rather than a traditional feather tan that you need!
